Experience

Lauren Birkenstock is an attorney in the firm’s Los Angeles office focused on insurance and catastrophic loss disputes, general commercial litigation, entertainment law, and intellectual property matters. Ms. Birkenstock assists with complex, high-exposure insurance for commercial property in industries such as oil and gas refining, mining, and renewable energy. This includes issues such as physical damage and business interruption from fires, storms, earthquakes, and other disasters. She also assists with intellectual property and commercial litigation matters, including copyright, licenses, entertainment, and other contracts.

Ms. Birkenstock graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, obtaining both a law degree and a certificate in Dispute Resolution. During her time there, Ms. Birkenstock externed with a state judge, served as Vice Chair of Moot Court, and won several Moot Court competition awards. Her involvement also permitted her to gain hands-on experience handling solo mediations in several small claims courts in the Los Angeles area.
