Robins Kaplan LLP is partnering with OutFront and OutLaw to host a free name change clinic to assist transgender individuals seeking to change their names and/or gender markers. The mission of OutFront Minnesota is to create a state where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment or discrimination. OutLaw raises awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues at the University of Minnesota Law School. In this brief legal advice clinic, volunteer attorneys will walk clients through the name change and/or gender marker change process and help them draft legal forms to start the process.
