CIETAC Appoints Partner Christopher K. Larus To Panel Of Arbitrators

MINNEAPOLIS, May 2014 – Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is pleased to congratulate Christopher K. Larus upon being named to the Panel of Arbitrators by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). Larus’ selection follows examination by CIETAC’s Arbitrator Qualification Examination Committee and approval by CIETAC’s Chairmen. Larus joins a small, select group of attorneys located in the United States who have been appointed to CIETAC Panel of Arbitrators.
Larus is Chair of the firm’s Minneapolis IP and Technology Litigation Group, and regularly tries complex patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and licensing cases. He is also a member of the firm’s Domestic Arbitration and International Arbitration practice, and represents clients in a wide variety of IP and technology-related disputes, including disputes arising from licensing, distribution, non-disclosure, non-compete, joint venture, information technology, product supply and investment agreements. Larus has also served as an appointed Arbitrator in disputes before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), International Centre For Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Founded in 1956, CIETAC is the oldest and most active arbitration tribunal in China. CIETAC handles a wide variety of commercial and trade disputes. CIETAC is also known as the Arbitration Court of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC). With its headquarters in Beijing, CIETAC also has sub-commissions throughout China including Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing.The organization’s awards are recognized and enforced in more than 140 countries throughout the world.
